"We are a pensioner couple. Nigel came to do a couple of jobs on the recommendation of Hamish Erskine, but unfortunately, my experience of his work, in particular his aftercare, was rather off-hand and unhelpful. We had asked him to deal with a broken radiator thermostatic valve which he attended to fix. He told us that the bleed valve also needed replacing. This required draining the whole system, and so elevated the cost, but was necessary we were told. All well and good. However, when we came to use the central heating, that particular radiator was stone cold. Nigel's email advice was to bleed the radiator, which we did several times, but to no effect. Nigel was insistent that the problem required just a radiator bleed and told us he would have to charge if he came in person. As the weather got colder, we eventually bought in the services of another plumber who was a bit more friendly and obliging and who fixed the problem in seconds!" - Simon Bingham
